=READ ME FIRST=
Please read this section before making any bug report about game rule bugs.
==Read the card again==
Before submitting a bug report, please review the following to ensure there is not a misunderstanding.

https://valeofeternity.wiki.gg/wiki/All_Cards Please review the visual card gallery here to find the card(s) that made the bug or ruling confusion occur. Read the card text again and click on the card to visit the card page on the wiki website for more information about the card. Read the About/ F.A.Q. (frequently asked questions) section to confirm all common ruling questions and watch the demonstration video/GIF file if applicable.

A common example is Young Forest Spirit. This page here https://valeofeternity.wiki.gg/wiki/Young_Forest_Spirit shows an example of using it, which makes it clear why you need 2 open space as an example.

==Double check the game state==

If you were unable to summon a certain card, is there a reason?

Maybe you have a Hae-Tae in your area which affects your stone values? If Hae-Tae was involved, please read the Hae-Tae page on the wiki here https://valeofeternity.wiki.gg/wiki/Hae-tae

If you still believe there is a bug, include the English name of the card in your bug report. The name can be found easily by the visual card gallery in the link above.

== Specific Cards ==

=== Hae-Tae ===
1) If you are confused about not being able to summon a card with your 6-value stones, >90% of the time it is because you have a Hae-Tae in play. Please read the wiki page here https://valeofeternity.wiki.gg/wiki/Hae-tae
2) Hae-tae makes your 6-value stones worth less which may make you unable to summon a card you are expecting. This is not a bug.

=== Young Forest Spirit ===
1) In order to summon Young Forest Spirit, a player needs 2 or more open spaces in their area and at least 3 cards in hand.

2) The card being summoned for free must be legal to summon, meaning it meets its own summoning criteria.

===Triton===
1) Have you read the rulebook or wiki page to clarify what taming means?

===Rock Golem===
1) Did Rock Golem score less points than expected? Do you have a Hae-Tae in play? That changes Rock Golem scoring.

2) Do you understand what Rock Golem does? Generally, you want to hold 6-6-6-6 stones, summon with a 6, then score 18 points.

==Cannot Undo==
General undo rules apply to Vale of Eternity which means no undo if new information is revealed from drawing a card or making a player choose a card to discard.

Vale of Eternity does not have perfect undo availability so please be careful with your actions. Undo coding is "simple", not "detailed". This means that any card effect that COULD make an undo invalid cannot be undone. The developer did not write detailed code to check if an undo is situationally allowed.

Examples of cards to summon that cannot undo (that you might not suspect):
Young Forest Spirit - COULD summon a card that draws a card
Dragon Egg - COULD summon a Willow to draw a card
Scorch - COULD copy a Willow to draw a card
Genie - COULD copy a Griffon active effect to draw a card

It is possible to undo Hydra except for drawing a card. This card has been manually coded around undos.

It is possible to undo summoning Tengu that goes on top of the draw deck.

===Goal===

Score 60 points at the end of a round or have the the most points at the end of round 10 by summoning creatures from your hand
===Core Concepts===

==== Cards ====
There is no hand limit.
The maximum number of cards a player can have in their summoning area is equal to the current round. Additional spots are added every round, cards may also be removed from the summoning area by spending magic stones.
A card has a family, which determines how much it can be sold for and other effects. Card images can be seen at higher resolution at https://valeofeternity.wiki.gg/wiki/All_Cards .

Each card has one of 3 types of effect:
* Instant (lightning bolt '''⚡︎'''): Triggers only when the card is being summoned.
* Permanent (infinity ∞): Activates always after the card has been summoned.
* Active (hourglass '''⌛︎'''): Activates once per round during the Resolution Phase.

==== Magic Stones ====
Magic Stones are the currency used to summon and remove cards. A Red Stone is worth 1, a Blue Stone is worth 3, a Purple Stone is worth 6.

Magic stones are limited to a quantity of 4 regardless of their value (e.g. 4 red 1s or 4 purple 6s). If a player exceeds this limit, they must keep 4 magic stones and discard the rest. This decision must be made before taking any other actions.

Magic Stones cannot be freely traded to make room for others, e.g. if you have 4 red 1s, you cannot trade 3 of them for 1 blue 3. If a player overspends their magic stones, they cannot make change e.g. using a purple 6 for something that costs 4 does not grant you 2 red 1s back.

==== Points ====
Due to various effects, players can gain or lose points throughout the game, although minimum score at any time is 0 (i.e. no negatives). The Game ends when a player has 60 points at the end of a round or at the end of the 10th round.
===Hunting Phase===

To start the round, each player drafts two cards

First card is drafted clockwise from start player, second card is drafted anticlockwise from last player (this means the last player drafts both their cards at once essentially)
===Turn===

On your turn, you take as many of the actions as many times as desired

After all players have done this, the action phase ends

The actions are: Sell, Tame, Summon, Remove

'''Sell''' - Pick a card you chose during the Hunting Phase and discard it, receive Magic Stones based on its family (this is NOT its cost). Red Fire gives 3 Red Stones, Blue Water gives 1 Blue Stones, Green Earth gives 4 Red Stones, Pink Wind gives 1 Red & 1 Blue stone, Purple Dragon gives 1 Purple Stone
'''Tame''' - Pick a card you chose during the Hunting Phase and put it into your hand

'''Summon''' - If you have open areas, you may pay the cost of a card and place it into your playing area, this cost may be reduced by the effect of cards already in your playing area. After which, resolve any instant effects if it has one.

'''Remove''' - You may remove a card from your own playing area at the cost of the current round, e.g. in round 6 the cost is 6
===Resolution Phase===

In turn order, each player can activate each active effect on their cards in their playing area once each, in any order. Card effects must be used if player meets the card criteria.

Recover is a keyword that puts a summoned card back in the owner’s hand. If no specific target is described, the card recovers itself.
===Game End===

The game ends if at end of round a player reaches 60 points or it is the 10th round, if neither of these happen then start a new round with a new start player

The player with the most points wins!

If tied, the player with the most summoned cards wins!
