- Monuments and wars are worth a lot of points; treasure + laying tiles are good at keeping category scores even.
- Ways to take control of monuments:
- With a wrong color tile, block it from forming in the first place
- With a correct color tile, complete it yourself and pick the color
- Revolt (usually only viable with many reds in hand)
- If kingdom shape allows, cut off/remove their leader with a catastrophe tile
- War (complicated)
- Build your own monument somewhere you already control
